The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Islamabad has issued an important public notice regarding ongoing investigations and legal actions against Malik Riaz Ahmed, owner of Bahria Town, and his associates. NAB is actively investigating multiple cases of fraud, illegal land occupation, and unauthorized housing society schemes involving billions of rupees in Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, and Karachi.
Numerous properties, including residential, commercial, and multi-storey buildings, bank accounts, and vehicles related to Bahria Town, Bahria Golf City, and other associated entities have been sealed or frozen. Strong evidence suggests that Malik Riaz and his associates have fraudulently sold properties without proper authorization and have illegally transferred substantial sums overseas, particularly to Dubai, implicating them in serious financial misconduct, including money laundering.
The public is strongly advised to avoid investing in Bahria Town or any related schemes offering attractive inducements. NAB is committed to safeguarding citizens’ rights and is actively collaborating with other government agencies to ensure the swift repatriation and prosecution of absconding suspects.
BRACE encourages everyone to remain vigilant, safeguard their investments, and promptly report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.
